FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you travel for photoshoots?: Absolutely I do! Possibilities are endless. I have traveled to Cozumel, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, & Cancun to name a few.
How long have you been a photographer?: I loved photography at a young age flipping through the National Geographic magazines. I would dream of being a wildlife photographer one day. It wasn't until my twenties that I started to teach myself how to manually shoot. I would take photos of my cats, dogs, and flowers. Then later I tried my hand at humans. It was very nerve wracking for me because I was so shy and that's definitely not the case anymore. In 2010, I had a friend from high school ask me to shoot her wedding. I definitely said no! But she persuaded me I could do it. So I did (scared to death), and then my career as a photographer began.

I am self taught. I have attended several workshops, had a few mentors along the way, read books, watched you tube videos, and trail/error. Still 15 years later, I learn something new everyday. That is what I love about photography. Every shoot, every couple, person, family is different. The connections and friends I've made along the way is a great part of the journey.

Now, I am still dreaming of one day shooting for National Geographic - until then I fulfill that dream as being the Tulsa Zoo's marketing photographer.
What should we wear for photos?: I get asked this question, a lot. I'm here to help! I work with each client on what to wear. It's a daunting task, I know. I will ask you questions about your lifestyle, what vibe you are going for, and of course where we are taking the photos matters. We first decide on a location and then talk about a color scheme. I allow my clients to send me photos so I can help put together the outfits with them.

Can we meet before booking?: Of course! I love meeting with my clients, it helps me get to know you better. We can either chat over the phone, zoom, or meet for coffee/drinks!
Can we bring our pets to our photo session?: 100% YES! I love pets! I have done several shoots with dogs, cattle, horses, and even a cat! You can bring them all! I have had 6 dogs at shoots before, been surrounded by cattle & horses.

What if we need to raincheck or cancel?: Weather always play a huge role in outdoor portrait sessions. Gotta love Oklahoma weather! If its 40% chance of rain or higher I keep in contact with you. Typically we will reschedule. I have a radar app on my phone that I watch as well.

I understand that people get sick or things come up. We can reschedule to a later date that works for both of us. If you need to cancel, I will hold onto to the deposit and that can be used at a later date.
